Critical Thinking: The soul of communication

From the excerpt, we see how there is a never-ending need for improvement in today’s fast-paced society. The demand for soft skills such as the ability to communicate effectively and think critically is highly valued.

As a leader, we are responsible for the work produced by the people working with us as it is a direct representation of a leader’s working attitude. We delegate information and instructions to others. Should it be poorly communicated, poor work is produced as a result. Hence, it is crucial that we are able to critically think to ensure that the information is effectively communicated to our colleagues with clarity and purpose.

In this context, critically thinking refers to our ability to convey purpose of the information to other colleagues, while ensuring that it is clear and cohesive. This ensures that they are collectively on the same page with clarity of the aim of the information provided.

Therefore, the future of workplaces is highly dependent on the key leaders’ skillset.
